RAD Double-Hung Window Specialist is the work of Jeff, a craftsman who believes the original windows in Seattle's historic homes are worth saving, not tearing out.
Modern replacement windows are sold on the promise of convenience, but they discard something that can't be bought back: the old-growth fir and cedar sashes that were built to be repaired and to last a century or more. Our approach is simple, restore what's there whenever it's sound, repair what's failing, and replicate only what's truly beyond saving.

We are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified firm and follow RRP containment practices on every pre-1978 home, keeping your family protected while we work. We're also licensed, bonded, and insured, and we work within historical building restoration and heritage preservation guidelines.
